Make Fedora look like Windows 95

I just installed Fedora 38 in virtual box. And the first thing I like to change, move the menu to the proper location. I grew up with Windows 95, so I'm programmed to have a start menu in the lower left corner. (I really dislike other menu setups)
Is there an easy way to make Fedora 38, look and behave more like Windows 95?
A simple button or command to re-arrange the panels would be cool :)

Hi, imo I think KDE5 Plasma is close... for an older windows look... try Trinity (kde reborn).

Both put the menu at bottom left. :-)

I hope this helps.

In KDE, you can change the position and the layout of the "panel" (that's the element that contains the menu, system tray, clock, task manager, etc.). Indeed, KDE in general is quite customizable.

I normally put mine at the top, reaching about two-thirds of the way across the screen from the right, with the menu icon at the left end, but you can also put it along either side of the screen.

I think you can similarly customize most, if not all, other Linux desktop environments which have a similar look. I *think* I've done so in Cinnamon and MATE also, but mostly I stick with either Fluxbox or KDE.

I was hoping for a one click/command solution that would move the taskbar and menu to the bottom and stick to only one workspace :)
For now I installed Xfce and deleted panel 2 and moved panel 1 to the bottom.
(I never liked KDE, too many bells and whistles)

Bottom left is the default for MATE - it's why I use it. :)

Perfectly fine reason :)

for something like a one-click solution... xfce themes.

There may be a package for xfce to give it a M$windows theme. ref https://itsfoss.com/best-xfce-themes/

There may also be an app in xfce control/system settings (xfce4-settings) where you can pick a theme online,

download & install the theme like kde does. (i don't see an xfce4 theme package).

Hi
Personally I use the KDE spin of Fedora, it's not old windows as such, but has the menu in the bottom left, it works as I prefer.
Cheers. Simon
