Macbook Pro 2015
Hi all,
I'm interested in installing Gentoo on my Macbook Pro 2015, which is the macbook12,1 model. I've already installed Debian, which has a very clunky UI and a terrible package manager and I want something better. I managed to install Gentoo in a VM some time ago but now I want it on real hardware. My Wifi requires a firmware blob on Debian and I don't have a USB Ethernet adapter. Does anyone know how formidable a task it is to get Gentoo on this laptop? Are there any definite roadblocks? I also want to install it into LUKS-encrypted partitions. Thanks. |

Everybody wants that these days. I have to say, if you're fairly new to Linux and cannot even find your way to the Gentoo wiki, you should not even attempt it. Though I wonder how you managed to install Gentoo on a VM when you don't know about Gentoo wiki? |
