I Finally Fixed Something Myself!
I had a stroke in 2011, and am brain-damaged, and I often ask for help in this wonderful forum.
I was having sound issues because I added a package, that uninstalled a {butt}load of other packages. And the sound stopped working. I then purged every sound package, then I installed both ALSA and PULSE packages..... didn't work; still no sound, so I purged every sound package again. Then I got a bit wise, and just installed the bare minimum sound packages. And I have sound again. {sigh} I guess what happened was that some of these packages were conflicting with each other. WINNING! Have yourself a fantastic day! |
Good on you. I like a happy ending.

Congrats on managing to sort it out for yourself... :)

Isn't that a great feeling when you do that?

Pre-stroke, in 2011, I would generally have a problem, fix it, then post the solution.
Then the stroke hit..... BUT I still use Linux, because Linux problems are light-weight compared to MiCrOsOfT, and I despise Crapple. Everybody have yourself a wonderful day! |
