Sabayon upgrade failure

I am running The following Sabayon system:

Code:

Gentoo Base System release 2.6
DISTRIB_ID="Sabayon"
NAME=Sabayon
ID=sabayon
PRETTY_NAME="Sabayon/Linux"
ANSI_COLOR="1;32"
HOME_URL="https://www.sabayon.org/"
SUPPORT_URL="https://forum.sabayon.org/"
BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.sabayon.org/"
Sabayon Linux amd64 18.10
Sabayon amd64 release 18.10

System runs fast and fine. When I do an update to the system it becomes very slow and stops booting at the CLI telling me that I am in emergency mode and I should look a the log file.

Here is the LOG FILE.

I'm hoping someone can help me figure out why the system is doing what it is.

Thanks.

No I do not believe this is the case. Reason being is after I get the about being in emergency mode I continue the boot and everything is mounted. I would not believe that an upgrade should/would cause mount points to mount. I'm looking for the root cause.
