they had to ADMIT that they had no actual evidence to bring
Several attorneys including Giuliani and Powell were sanctioned and in October, 2021 the Supreme Court refused to hear their appeal in which attorneys had financial sanctions imposed on them by the judge because the "lawsuit was filed with a woeful lack of investigation into the law and, under the circumstances, the facts."

The attorney appealed to the 10th Circuit Court which stated "an attorney is expected to exercise judgment, and must 'regularly re-evaluate the merits' of claims and 'avoid prolonging meritless claims.'"

There have been countless court hearings on the Trump lies and all have failed.

Giuliani also lost a libel suit. That was an important case where the facts were indeed presented and ruled on.

EDIT: and, of course, the Fox News/Dominion case.

So yes, the claim that the courts have not looked at the evidence is false.

Also note that having your case dismissed still means that you’ve failed to prove your case in court.

Like so many things in this life: "Be careful what you wish for."
I will agree with that statement if you change "Evidence was never accepted" to "Evidence was never presented."

Michael Cohen on his first day of testimony: his demeanor has been flawless.

The former President is falling asleep during the testimony.

That seems to be the pattern. The prosecution witnesses are presenting critical detail flawlessly, and the redirect is not only ineffective it is often counter-effective and slams home the prosecution points.

He should have just plead guilty and negotiated a deal (he used to say he was the best negotiator) with no days in prison. This would all have been over long since and he would be fundraising and stumping the way he claims he would if not for this trial.

... but then he wouldn't be able to play the Orange Jesus Martyr Game and claim he couldn't testify because of the gag order <rolls eyes>

Agreed. It really does seem like the prosecution is finishing their case with strength. If there is a guilty verdict I wonder if the former President will get probation or an ankle bracelet?

I was sad when I heard Stormy Daniels would leave the country if Trump were to be elected.

There was an article I read this morning which said that she'd be leaving regardless of the outcome of the trial and/or election.

Imagine having to leave your home because you're being harassed by cult members.

It seems that anyone who crosses the former President is targeted by the MAGA weirdos. I hope she's able to put this sad event behind her.
