daum, how many boxes do you have xD ?
those laptops of yours look cool, i think i need to buy one and build / tweak it until it is the way i like em.
So many it's hard to keep track of.
8 laptops total. 7 are vintage Thinkpads, meaning they ran Windows 7 or Vista when new. and a Gateway branded Acer clone by Brother-in-Law was going to throw away because he thought it was broken.
The Thinkpads I bought off ebay from private persons or sellers who had a lot of Business Lease returns:

i know a place where one can buy used laptops / desktops / monitors, those are given free by some companies that buy new hardware and dump used ones. it is called "recycling center" its located at Helsinki, its about 15km from my flat, they sell nice laptops with i3 - i5 - i7 processors with about 4 - 8 gigs of ram vs 70-150€. also they sell 24" - 27" monitors 5€ ea and desktops vs 50-150€. also they sell mini computers, like shuttle's barebones, my OpenBSD is installed to one (shuttle barebones). its roughly like this one : https://jwimg.azureedge.net/product/...52-p432707.jpg
only thing is that those laptops have bad batteries.
When buying a used laptop look for shiny spots on the keys and touchpad. That's a sure sign of heavy use.
I've worn the letters off most keys on my Sony and have started to wear a couple on one of my W520, but they still run like new.
If you think one has shot craps and quit on you, unplug it, remove and replace the battery, then plug it back in.
That's brought back every laptop that otherwise would have been thought have gone to laptop heaven.
One sat in a drawer for over a year till I took it out to see if I could use the fan on it for an X61. Put the battery back in, plugged it in and Resurrected it from the Dead.

yea, my friend bought one laptop, it is in really good condition. they at recycling center sell only good condition hardware, other that are in not good condition they dismantle and use parts to fix other machines.
one of my friends have omicron, and he is the one with drivers license and car, so i cant go to recycling center atm. he is 70+ years old but his symptoms are not bad.
You could always find a work at Hollywood designing hacker interfaces for movies.
Thank you. Somebody else said one of my desktops was probably the envy of script kiddies everywhere. It is an art-form of sorts I developed and find pleasure in not only using but crafting. Learning to use Gimp harder for me than learning to use Linux was.
I recently got an "Education website" ranked Facebook page for my tutorial site and post screenshots in hopes of attracting new users. I don't know if it's working for me or against me yet.
Facebook something I avoided like the plague till I got a free Android tablet T-Mobile was giving away locally. That opened me up to Google, in many ways, and saw I could use Social Media to my advantage by going with the flow instead of fighting it like I had been. No longer a mere forum carny barker, now an up and coming Social Media whore proper.
If I can exercise some self-discipline this weekend I plan to have a revised version of my tutorial using pkg instead of ports done by Monday.
