Pretty sure that was a copy-paste error on your side.
I built dillo succesfully with that PKGBUILD.

I just took what was in the [community] version and replaced openssl with mbedtls.
Could you comment on this?

Yup, I didn't grab all of it.

https://github.com/archlinux/svntogi...trunk/PKGBUILD

Yes it does. That is different than the depends from a couple of months ago. Dillo has remained static for years.

Newest
Code:
pkgname=dillo
pkgver=3.0.5
pkgrel=10
pkgdesc="A small, fast graphical web browser built on FLTK"
arch=(x86_64)
url="https://www.dillo.org"
license=('GPL')
depends=('fltk' 'libjpeg' 'libpng' 'openssl' 'perl' 'zlib')
Last
Code:
pkgname=dillo
pkgver=3.0.5
pkgrel=9
pkgdesc="A small, fast graphical web browser built on FLTK"
arch=(x86_64)
url="https://www.dillo.org"
license=('GPL')
depends=('fltk' 'libjpeg' 'perl' 'libpng' 'gcc-libs' 'libxcursor'
         'libxi' 'libxinerama' 'openssl-1.0')
So you are working from a more up to date PKGBUILD than I was.

So dillo had a depend on openssl 1.0, and now it's updated to openssl 1.1.1

You are asking if I did that for a reason. No. Working on a out of date PKGBUILD that I used for an example.

Are you up to date. Does latest community open LQ and cloudflare sites? If so then it's already fixed. I did this because dillo had not worked for years.

Yes, dillo works now.

I was asking if either of us got the dependencies right, because most are already installed on my system anyhow so I possibly wouldn't notice if I missed something.

Thanks for all of your effort.

Edit:
This thread still shows how to build dillo with mbedtls instead of openssl if someone wants to. I learned a little while doing it.

@ondoho

Maybe I misunderstood you in post #18.

I just updated arch yesterday, and the dillo that is in the official repo still won't load some pages. It won't even load LQ. And it's old.
Code:
pacman -Si dillo
Repository      : community
Name            : dillo
Version         : 3.0.5-10
...
Build Date : Thu 15 Apr 2021 06:09:11 AM CDT
These urls won't load at all:
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...276/page2.html
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ew&daysprune=7
https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/
https://twitchy.com/

Whereas dillo compiled with mbedtls, not openssl, will load all pages.

So if one wants dillo to work, this thread still gives relevant info for it.
