Hi everybody,
I downloaded Bodhi 5.1.0 Legacy & with the help of UNetbootin I made an installation media on USB drive.
Now, I want to install it on my Laptop (Dell Studio 1535 with 2 GB RAM, Core 2 Duo Processor, AMD ATI HD moblity 3450 Graphics which is presently running Window 10 OS). When I tried it says "unable to find a medium containing a live file system" & some other messages like "initramfs".
I tried it again & again but failed each time.
Please help me, as I am new to Linux.
Please explain in detail. I will really be thankful.
Dr Sam I ran into the same problem & ran this from the Linux side:
USB Creator is an official tool to create Live USB...
From the Windows side use YUMI Bootable Live USB...

Reason: Startup Disk Creator
I imagine the reason the OP used unetbootin to attempt to create the bootable usb is that it is the first option given/explained on the bodhi site. I think it may be a corrupted download. Verifying the download is the step explained immediately prior to the create bootable usb and if that is the problem it can't be corrected by other than a new/good download. Hopefully this was not the case and the OP has resolved the problem.
Yet the first option on creating a bootable usb is to use unetbootin. Maybe someone should inform them that it doesn' 'work'.
Well, it does in fact work for Bodhi 4.5, as described.
But I 100% agree. It's like the most common install issue anyone reports. Be better to just delete the unetbootin advice than leave it in! But this has been happening since 5.0RC....
I finally got the solution. I used Rufus instead of UNetbootin to make bootable USB drive. & the most important thing is- I used it as DD form & not as iso form while making it bootable in Rufus.
& Finally I used USB drive to boot the computer & selected the option try Bodhi & from the desktop I clicked install the Bodhi & VOILA it installed without any problem.
Then get it updated.
But now the problem is about it's graphics. I am unable to install it's graphics driver downloaded from AMD site.
