Creating packages (.pkg) on CENTOS 6.5
I am using CENTOS 6.5 and am trying to create a new ARM package (.pkg) from a tar file or update an existing package to include the recent versions of the software it contains. I have searched but cannot find good references for how to do this on a Centos machine. I have created a tar.gz file which contains 6 software updates, including squashfs, uimage, uboot, MSP, ARM and the DSP, but I cannot find the correct commands to convert this file into a .pkg file so I can send to the chipsets for update. All software files are maintained in Jenkins and there is company tools located on a gitweb platform to create packages and manifests, but I have not been successful in changing directories in linux to this gitweb location to run the commands that are archived in the company wiki page. Essentially this company I work for shut down for a while and restarted with none of the original engineers, so I cannot rely on any inside help. I have linux experience, but have never worked on a CENTOS machine before nor performed the bring-up procedure to upload this many chip sets. Thanks in advance for any help!
