Fedora Upgrade from Fedora 11 to Fedora 16

I ran the preupgrade from fedora 11. It ran successfully. However, when the machine was booted, it is asking to select Partition and directory. When I select sda1 and give the directory (I have tried /, /boot, and /dev/sda1), it says "That directory does not contain an installation tree."

Can somebody tell me what is the correct directory for the installation tree here.

back up important data
reformat the drive(s) to ext4
do a fresh clean NEW install of 16

preupgrade will NOT work for skipping 5 versions

Thanks, John. Currently, my system rebooted after downloading the preupgrade files and packages and is asking for the installation tree location. Do you know if I can back out of this mode and go back to my F11 installation so that I can do a proper backup and then plan for new installation?
