Hello,
I am new to this forum and some what of a newbie with linux but I am trying to install some applications that are .tar.gz or .tar.bz2.
For example I am trying to install Bluefish and I extract it with "tar -xf bluefish-1.0.5" and it makes the folder in the home directory so I do this:
Quote:
cd bluefish-1.0.5
./configure
|
and it says
Quote:
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
|
I am running SUSE and I just installed it.
