sar output for the past 4 days


Hi all,


How can i get the sar output for the past 4 days. I cam able to get today's report only.

Can someone help to get the correct switches of sar to get the output for the past 4 days, along with memory/cpu usage

Hi Zamo

Have you checked under /var/log/sa which is the usual location for sar logs.
Is that what you are looking for ? you will have the files with the dates suffixed.

Right - so for seeing data for the 23rd of the current month, you could use e.g.:
$ sar -A -f /var/log/sa/sa23 | less
