Dual booting LFS with Slackware on separate drives

I have a uefi laptop with slackware on /dev/sdb (ssd) and I wish to build LFS on the second drive (1T hdd, half data, half lfs). I want to use the existing bootloader from slackware to select either os. Is there any special things i need to do to the second drive (flags, partitions)etc? Do I need to install grub on sda? I will be using the swap partition on sdb.

This is what I'm thinking of

/dev/sda1 500g
/dev/sda2 500g lfs

/dev/sdb1 256m efi system mountpoint /boot/efi
/dev/sdb2 swap
/dev/sdb3 /
/dev/sdb4 /home

Cheers.

I used the .config file from the slackware install so filesystems are compiled as modules

I think this will work for elilo, create an entry in /boot/efi/EFI/Slackware/elilo.conf for lfs. copy lfs kernel and initramfs to /boot/efi/EFI/Slackware/ names to match the elilo.conf menu entry
https://www.rodsbooks.com/efi-bootloaders/elilo.html

I would suggest to use grub bootloader, there is a better chance of recovery from the grub bootloader if something goes wrong.
