How to Install CUDA in BLFS OS? From Source Tarball

Hi all,

I am using Dell Precision 6510 with VGA NVIDIA Corporation GT216GLM [Quadro FX 880M]. I want to install CUDA for my BLFS OS with Xfce Desktop Environment.

The questions:
1. Can I use CUDA with that VGA? I want to test package like Chrono with module that requires CUDA
2. If I can, then how? I see the source tarball from here
https://developer.download.nvidia.co...source/11.7.0/

Then I have checked to compile it works, but CUDA can't be installed,

I have found out when compiling that it is missing cuda.h then I use cuda.h I found on internet(github) so I can compile CUDA. Is it wrong to do what I did? Is the link to get CUDA tarball is wrong or perhaps I have to use certain compiling scripts that have worked and tested.

Based on this link https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/...m-source/54145

You cannot build CUDA from source.
