In what chapter could i disable buzzer beeping by following instructions in the book?
I remember there was some setting in some library or something similar to compile in such way that the system speaker should become disabled. I used that setting having no thought of that this would disable the speaker system-wide, not in a separate program. But now i just cannot find where this setting was to be set... If someone remembers, point me please to that chapter.
Well... i have been searching for a very long time for this option... I mistakenly thought that if i change 'audible' bell-style in /etc/inputrc to something else, then i would lose any speaker sound, that's why i asked about some chapter. Really this option is in the kernel configuration menu... it is very strange, but it's:
Device Drivers -> Input (!) Devices -> Miscellaneous devices -> PC Speaker.
