I'm just wondering if anyone can give me their impressions of Windows 10/11 WSL(Ubuntu)? I tried installing and setting it up with Ubuntu(from the Windows store) and it just won't work.
I enabled the Windows subsystem Linux.
I checked BIOS and VIRT is enabled.
I install Ubuntu from the Windows store.
I did the kernel update.
Just wondering if its worth the effort to get it working.
Note: Don't use the MS store to install Ubuntu. Use the command prompt(run as administrator).

You've been here long enough to know "just won't work" isn't going to endear you to potential respondents. Including this one.
I run WSL2 everyday when on Win11, but I do recall a couple of issues since the update from the original WSL - I've had to remove it at least once and reset all the features before re-installing. Can't recall the exact cause.
There are trouble-shooting sites on the net, including github. Try running wsl from a powershell if you aren't getting any (useful) messages to search on.

My problem was installing from the MS store, when I used the cmd(run as administrator) the install went without a hitch.
