Question Issue with HP62231A OfficeJet Pro9010 Printer

SpiralLinux forum recommended to try asking at KDE forum.
Being satisfied with help here, figured it was the best place to start.

- - - -

Have tried many times to print duplex mode with SpiralLinux KDE iteration, and one side of the sheet always prints upside down.

Checked and re-checked all the options out there, rebooted etc. and there was no way for it to do as asked.

Cinnamon edition does not have this problem.

Any suggestions?

Exactly what is doing the printing? Cups?

Not sure how to respond to that.

While HP toolbox asked for required driver for a wired HP LaserJet,
the wire-lessly connected HP OfficeJet was automatically installed by SpiralLinux.

Open a browser surf to http://localhost:631 which gets you into the cups options and see what you can set up there.

You should find stuff under printers / your printer administration. Also, print a duplex test page to a pdf file, and check it with a pdf reader. If the pdf is ½ upside down, it's your software. Why do I have to ask this - what are you printing from? Don't keep secrets from folks trying to help!

@business_kid

This is the weirdest situation!

1. the HP OfficeJet was (as mentioned) installed automatically by SpiralLinux, except there was no longer the duplex option.

2. with HP toolbox, proceeded to install it, hence the last two that appear in the screenshot.
Even if it says there's a job waiting, there is none.
3. tried to print with the later and it always went into "pending" mode (even after cancelling and rebooting).
4. tried again with initial HP OfficeJet and it worked this time, perfectly as expected!

So, go figure!

p.s. tried with .pdf file - so, should work with regular doc files too.

From what i can guess, needed to go through the whoops with HP Toolbox to setup the printer again, but this time, it would install the driver to go with it.

If it worked perfectly, it's solved then? Mark the thread solved, and let's go away.
