Unhappy Low resolution


Hi,

I use AMD Athlon X2(AM2 socket) with 1GB RAM,my mother board is VIA K8M800. The problem is I get on 65000(16bit color) with only 800x600 resolution.XP gives 1023x768. How do I increase change my resolution & color? Pls help? I use Suse 10.2

The above thread should give you a good idea what needs to be done. You must edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to add the resolutions you want, to the Screen section of your file.

Also, read the man page for xorg.conf. It explains the options in the file quite well.
