Question low speed usb device

Hi,

I've got a host with USB 1.1 (UHCI) ports and a Canon CP-300 printer (dye sub).

When I'm plugging the printer, it recognise the printer as a full speed device.

I would like to force the printer to use a low speed mode, how can I do that?

I'm getting some weird error message (usblp0: error -71 reading printer status) when I'm trying to print and obviously nothing is coming out from the printer...

So I want to test the printer with low speed if it helps...

I'm using Fedora 5 with a kernel 2.6.20, CUPS 1.2.x, gutenprint 5.0.1.

Regards,
Ced.
