I must admit that I'm intrigued. When I run lsmod, I get just what I expect: a list of loaded kernel modules. My kernel certainly isn't tainted, since I don't have any reason to load proprietary drivers into it, but lsmod has never bothered to tell me so.
Which distro kernel, has it always done this, was there an update, is there an out of tree kernel module installed?
I've seen this a while ago, but don't remember nothing about it.
