help turning off suspend mode


i have standby suspend and power off all disabled yet my laptop still goes into suspend mode, can someone help me out

Please Check

1) Is standby disabled in your BIOS ? This will normally be found under Power Settings.

2) Whatever desktop environment you are using is standby disabled there. I don't know about Gnome but under KDE open up the Centrol Center and look under Power Control / Display Power Control. These settings MAY be individual to each user so you might find that you fix this for root and not for your normal user account.
