I have been a big fan of KDE desktop environment for over 2 years now. And toy'd with Gnome and Mate, but never took it seriously.
While I wait on Plasma5 for KDE/Kubuntu to become stable, I tested out Linux Mint 17.1 Mate, and have to say I like it.
It may be a daily driver for me till Kubuntu updates again. But I'd say I'll go back to KDE soon.

KDE - Kubuntu 14.10 desktop

Mate - Linux Mint 17.1 desktop

Linux - Screenshots

Hi All,

So, I turned myself into a student @ Arizona State University (ASU). My silly little major is (I've taken a leave of absense to move back to the East Coast to help an elderly parent) Computational Mathematical Science.

Anyway, every self respecting Co-Ed @ ASU carries around a Mac like a fashion accessory. I was intrigued in their machinery. LOL!

So, I decided to get one, and I did. Being the Linux Guy, that I am: Backbox 4.0, VMWare 10.0.1, and some magic...

I've recently up-dated to Yosemite. As the song says - is that all there is?

Jeez, I've saved myself $2,500.00. And, a lot of heart ache. ROLOL!
