Android Default Music Player won't save playlists?

I'm in 8.1 Go. The noteworthy is I am saving to mSD vs. builtin storage.

I am able to save playlists in a different app.

Anyone else have this problem in Android's Default Music Player?

I use my now unused samsung s7 like this to play music on my ION Block Rocker on wheels at the shop.

Took out the sim card out and just use wifi and bluetooth.

Then. If others present want a different playlist.
I search youtube for like " The Mavericks " playlist.

I don't bother with extra apps like mediamonkey or iheart radio.

O-kay, but what I'm doing is kind of different. I am opening my own music catalogue on a SD card in Android's Default Music Player.

I can make a playlist normally. When I exit the app & restart, the new playlist is gone.

I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else & why it occurs.
