can embedded linux be run on qemu ?


hi ,
I got this question as an assignment, i have searched alot on the internet about this and the closest i've come is to moblin and meego.. but that too do not run completely on qemu ,it gets stuck with some error relating to graphics...when I showed it to my teacher he said that it isn't an embedded linux o/s.
could anyone please help me run this thing on qemu....thanks

Yes qemu support RTOS(Embedded Linux). What sort of linux flavor you are doing to use in qemu ?

so how do I have to run RTOS .....should I just download the .iso file from the internet...and run it on qemu...

Hi

I have downloaded the android live iso image but it is not working with qemu kvm .

please tell me the specific command is there that we have to do .

Have you got any error? Is the ISO is bootable from the cd. please share me the output.

it not giving any error ? but it is not booting just stop on first step .
Commads are

infinite@infinite-desktop:~$ qemu-img create -f qcow2 disk.img 5G
infinite@infinite-desktop:~$ kvm -hda disk.img -cdrom /home/infinite/linuximage/liveandroidv0.3.iso -boot d

after that booting is started with the KVM .

like this :

booting from cdrom

ISOLINUX 3.81 2009-05-29 ETCD Copyright (c) 1994-2009 H.peter Anvin et al
