Linux Puppy Android?

Good Morning,

I connect my Nexus 4 (android phone) to USB and puppy sees nothing, no mounting.

Open Calibre and it sees it as a device and can read and write to it.

So how can Calibre see it through the same USB port?

There's no classical mounting with mtp devices.

You could try grepping dmesg and have a look at your kernel messages;

Code:

dmesg | grep -i usb

The above will show any messages with the string "usb" in them.

Perhaps try posting that or similar from your kernel log, and maybe someone could help you further.

Because Puppy has .sfs and .pet files that run independent from the system sometimes. Depending on how things/applications are installed.

Running and launching calibre through a puppy terminal might shed some light also on this question.

If you're on Android 4.x still, Android was very receptive to usb devices. As soon as people started exploiting this, Google closed the door (Android-5.0 IIRC).

Exactly what Android version does that thing run?
