How do you map a serial port to the Windows IP routing table

Is there a way to modify the routing table such that eth0 is replaced by serial port /dev/ttymaxc2?

Well first you would have to install an IP driver for the serial port, then define it as a network interface and give it an IP address. This would all be quite complex and difficult, if soem of the grunt work had not been done already.
