Ldap settings are configured and working, verified with the ldapsearch command. When I try to log in, the account is not created. What could be the problem? This is what was set up:

Not sure, but you've re-opened a thread that's been closed for SIX YEARS. Not sure if anyone is going to see this, and if so, they're going to ask you to provide details. You don't tell us about version/distro of Linux, your environment, how you're trying to log in, any error(s)/message(s), etc. Without information there's nothing anyone can do to help.
I'd suggest opening your own thread with the above information in CODE tags, and providing the aforementioned details.
