After upgrading to Pop!_OS 20.10, bluetoothd no longer starts

After upgrading, bluetooth does not work at all, trying to start bluetoothd in the console returns
Code:
D-Bus setup failed: Connection ":1.346" is not allowed to own the service "org.bluez" due to security policies in the configuration file
I've tried to purge bluez* but I am now completely unable to install bluez as well because the bluetooth.service fails to start
Code:
bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
     Active: activating (auto-restart) (Result: exit-code) since Wed 2020-11-25 09:09:10 EST; 5ms ago
       Docs: man:bluetoothd(8)
    Process: 19718 ExecStart=/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
   Main PID: 19718 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
     Status: "Starting up"
Purging bluez* forced me to remove pop-desktop as well, but I use plasma so I don't know if this is an issue.

How did you upgrade POP_OS to 20.10?
20.10 is a beta version of Ubuntu. Are you sure Pop_OS supports doing that?

Pop!_OS got the update about a month ago, and it was giving me notifications to upgrade from pop-upgrade

I also tried to roll back the upgrade using Timeshift but it doesn't seem to have worked correctly, as even back on 20.04, it still has issues with bluetooth, and I keep getting errors coming up that "Pop!_OS 20.10 has experienced an internal error." as well as the Pop Shop only hardly working.

So apparently Timeshift did not roll back correctly last time, so I tried it again and everything is fixed now
