"Boot vmlinuz-linux from EFI system partition" option in rEFInd

Good day.
I would like to find out what process is initiated by the command in desription. I have attached 2 photos for clarity. The ways to solve this error, for example:
# mount /dev/sdXY new_root
# exit

did not lead to changes
Apparently, the loading of the system with this option is due to the presence of vmlinuz-linux file in the directory /boot/efi.

Hi,

Perhaps the menu entry for booting vmlinuz-linux is not properly configured. If you can boot from a USB/DVD and get access to the refind.conf file, you could mend this.

Check this out:
