I have an HP DeskJet 2700 installed under Linux 19.3 wirelessly.
With the help from this forum I was able to install CUPS and succesfully print.
However, the printed page skips at least every other line of text.
I wanted to try re-aligning and cleaning but I cannot find those features nor can I use HP Smart on my cellphone to recognize the printer.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Happy Valentine´s frankbell,
Actually I was printing the first page of 3 in pdf format.
Yes, it prints lines 1, 3, 5, and does not print lines 2, 4, and 6...etc for the rest of the page (when I print with blak ink only). When I print in color the first inch and a half is OK with no lines missing, and after that the skipping begins.
The black ink copy function on the printer produces a one quarter inch skip in the middle.
Thank you for taking the time to help.
On the printer's menu, have you checked for printer updates? I have an HP and it gets software updates occasionally, but I'm not sure how you would check for them on your printer's menu. I usually get prompts to install them. Maybe look under Settings-->Update Print Apps.
