I have ftp server configuration problem we have ftp server installed but it support clear text format so
we wants to prevent from attackers,
Wants to "Migrate to FTP server that supports AUTH command" please help me in doing the same..
vsftpd and proftpd (amongst others) support AUTH. read their documentation and follow the guides accordingly.
sftp is part of ssh. you can't "switch" to it, as they are totally unrelated, and if your server is already running an SSH service, then it's 99% going to already have sftp available for use.
I have vsftpd services running in my machine and sshd service also but who do i
check with sftp and AUTH is working in commands in client windows machine....
SFTP - go read about what it is. sftp will never have anything to do with IE. It sounds like this is a serious enough situation your in for you to take the responsibility and initiative to actually understand what sftp is.
