team-vs-team wargame announcement

Hi everyone,

We're going to run a new team-vs-team wargame that involves securing your linux server and compromising the competition. If you are interested in these sorts of things, continue reading.

The idea boils down to this: each team gets a plain installed machine and has to set up new services until they either make a mistake and get compromised or - for the best team - manage to compromise all other team's servers.

The people taking part would mostly be competent in security but likely not all professionals, so you should somehow also fit near that skill level for the game to be most enjoyable. Of course, we would be very pleased to see some really advanced magic on the wires and can also have some beginners on the teams, so basically everyone is welcome.

see http://p6drad-teel.net/~windo/wargame/ for details and registration.

PS.
sorry for the sort of spamish post, but there needs to be a few people involved to get a good game going and thus i'm gently poking around a few places where i'd imagine interested people might hang out.
