mailman and postfix

Hi guys..

I've reach a point of brain halting here with this thing...

I had postfix working... now i'm adding mailman to the box.

postfix is relaying only as i have several amazon ec2 boxes relaying to the box...

there is a separate box named mail.example.com which handles pop3 and stmp.
everything works ok; except for the fact that is not like i want it.

ie

if i send an email to list-name@list.example.org; i get a reply from the server bl abl abla with mailman link to authorize etc; but if i go list-name@example.org the box cannot recognize that postfix should relay to mailman and do the trick... so basically i end with undelivered replies and mail.log says it was trying to talk to mail.example.com to deliver something to an nonexistent mailbox.

how do I setup the email aliases so list-name@example.com --> list-name@list.example.com (aka same box; here is where i've spend 4 hours trying to find out)

i saw something with mysql (wich i'll like to avoid) but it was part of an advance howto or something...

any help will be highly appreciated.

In that case you can use `fetchmail` to deliver the mails to your lists. As an example, suppose you sent a mail to list-name@example.com, you need to create an account by the name of list-name in the mail server and then create a .fetchmailrc to get the mails from list-name account and post it to the desired list. You can run it via cron or whatever you like. Hope this helps.
