Question [email] One email bounced, did others get it?

Hello,

I sent a BCC group email, and one of them was rejected.

Before I try again and possibly send duplicates, does it mean the rest of the recipients got it, or did my ISP's SMTP server give up before proceeding with the other recipients?

Thank you.

Code:
<recipient@acme.com>: host smtp.acme-mx.com said: 553
Envelope sender <me@isp.com> rejected (in reply to MAIL FROM command)
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 553 Envelope sender <me@isp.com> rejected

It looks like it tanked the whole thing. 553 with MAIL FROM means it doesn't want to know you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ive_completion

This message concerns only the recipient mentioned in it.

Thanks. Indeed, I got a few replies later. Just as well I didn't spam them :-p

The most common cause of this is often spamhaus.org over-excitedly blocking. Fine in the case a repeat offender, but this often results in blocking mail servers so nothing that checks with spamhaus.org will accept your mail and there's a week long argument with the sysadmin before service is restored.

The mail server I use has hundreds of registered names (mail.com, doctor.com, etc.) and if one gets a spammer, the whole lot come down . I'm intending to move, but I'm lazy.
