how can I view and edit "Documents to Go" documents in Linux?

Hello,
I have Palm TX that came with Documents to go. The program comes with a windows application that converts MS word, MS powerpoint and MS spreadsheet files with a format that can be viewed and edited on the Palm TX and then synced back to the desktop computer when you do a sync and edit them with MS office.

if you want more information as to what I am talking about here is the link to the website: http://www.dataviz.com/products/docu...ium/index.html

Is there any filter or any program that can do this same thing but using a linux computer? I tried installing documents to go using WINE but it did not work. All I am interested in doing is in being able to convert and use these files so that I can save them on an SD card when I am done on the Palm then transfer them over to my computer and work on them using openoffice and not have to worry about the syncing part.

I hope some one can help me.

I don't use a palm, I have no idea how you run that app. There seems to be a wordpro app that will do the conversion:

The Pilot DOC format is not the same as the Microsoft Word format. Not even a little. There does exist software to convert Microsoft Word documents into the Pilot DOC format. A few are listed at another MemoWare page.

.dmg files are Mac OSX disk images. The "universal" only means that it runs on PPC and Intel OSX. Unfortunately, I haven't found a program like Docs2Go for Linux.

I found a solution to my problem. I installed Mobisystems office suite classic 7 on the PDA and because it can read and save native .doc,.xls and .ppt files I can open them up in openoffice, work on them and have no compatibility issues whatsoever.

It's much more easy than that.
I run Documents to go 6.008 on my Palm T3.
I have an option to save in MS-format and simply transfer to Ubuntu with bluetooth, edit and transfer back to Palm.

I guess you can run 'documents to go' with wine ...
