how to change omni antenna to directional antenna in NS2 programming

hello friends i'm new to linux and NS2 programming i am trying to create a wireless network with directional antenna in base node. i searched for the sample coding to add directional antenna to my simulation i cant able to find anything in net. kindly help me to use directional antenna in my simulation project. thanks in advance.

P.S. : I actually don't know which OS will work today.
I suspect that Ubuntu 12.04 got updated to much for Directional Antenna to work.
? May be Ubuntu 11.10 or CentOS 6.7 ?
