Question Posts

Is there any way to define a search by author of the post?

I am trying to look up several posts that I had made about 6-8months ago and they are not showing.

I also tried looking in my CP for any previous subscriptions that I had. All gone now

I have noticed that posts do go back at least to 2001, but not mine Thats a good thing, maybe.

Anyhow... any help would be appreciated. Theres a lot of info on those posts that I would like to review again, more or less print out this time.

Thanks!

Moved: More suitable in Website Questions and Suggestions as this is a question or questions regarding the use of this site, etc. Please place your posts in the most appropiate forum, sometimes its pretty obvious, sometimes its not but this one should have gone here to begin with. Regards.

Nope the search feature does not work for this intent, why I had posted a question.

I tried several keywords for that had been included in my previous posts, nothing came up. As if they were deleted :/ . I know they are there since I have only been on these forums since June. Well off to digging again.

Would be nice to see an option on these forums to search by username and see what posts have been made by that user.

Thanks, But thought Linux -> General was suitable enough, since I was already there browsing.

There is. Click on Search at top right hand side. You'll notice there is an option to search by username. Also if you click on a particular member's profile, there are two links to search by their posts and by the threads they've started.

Also in any members post, you'll find a search button that automatically pulls up all their posts.

Its not like they are hidden or something..

That is just pure laziness really then. Its not suitable as Linux - General is designed for Linux specific questions you feel don't belong in any other category that we have.

Website Questions and Suggestions should be pretty obvious to post questions about this site, along with any suggestions you may have as well.

Regards.
