Waiting on google-analytics

A lot of times, after loading the forum or sub-forum, its still loading google-analytics or reading e1h7.simplecdn.net. What are these two things and why is it taking so long to load?

It is not affecting browsing through the forums, because I don't wait for whatever it is, and even when it stops, I don't see any difference.

In the time it took me to type this, it still says at the bottom:

Read e1h7.simplecdn.net

Have a search of the LQ suggestions forums - we recently had a thread about jeremy introducing a new CDN. Also somewhere there is a reference to the stats collecting.

RE: google-analytics - it's possible Google was having an issue, but on the whole they are probably both faster and more reliable than LQ (despite our best efforts).

RE: e1h7.simplecdn.net - are you missing any images? Are any other members seeing this?

If I'm missing any images, I don't know I am.
However, today there seems to be no problems with either.
Go figger!

You could install NoScript on Firefox. Most sites work just fine without allowing google-analytics and load faster without. Besides, why give all that information to Google? I figure they get enough anyway, what with being sent every site Firefox users try to open to see if it is an "Attack Site".
