Mageia package mgr has a big wasteful boarder around it. I'm wondering if this can be changed, either by the user or the devs so that less screen area is wasted. I'd like to see the wasted space get devoted to the working areas. Thanks.
I don't see what I would consider a big, wasteful border on my Mageia 4 system on a Lenovo Graphics Tablet. There's a border, but it seems a reasonable size to me.
Perhaps you could post a screenshot so we can understand exactly what you are referring to.
I noticed today that, when you open the Magiea Control Center (drakconf), it opens by default to the software section. On that page, there is a lot of white space.
Perhaps OP was referring to the Mageia Control Center. If you go to some of the other sections (hardware, networking, security), the space fills with icons.
When I wrote my post, I was thinking of the "Install/Uninstall Software" window, rather than of the overall Control Center window.
