Hello,
I have just downloaded this file: mgaonline-2.77.29-1.mga1.noarch.rpm
Which is meant to upgrade Mandriva to mageia.
Have anyone done it?
Anything to watchout for?
Or should I just go and do it.

The best way to install Mageia and minimize compatibility errors is the clean install.
I use Mageia on some my hosts and it works pretty well.

I have Mageia, did clean install, on my tower system and would suggest to goto Mageia's website for more info on upgrading Mandriva using it. I've read good and bad about it.

I'm waiting before trying it to upgrade my netbook from mdv to mga.

Hi. I use Mageia with GNOME desktop environment and the only thing you have to keep in mind is if you like and care too much having compiz with emerald window themes running, then you won't have it on Mageia because the repositories for emerald and compiz-fusion-icon aren't included in this system (maybe because it is the first release).
Anyways, it's up to you to chose, my personal opinion is that this is a great system just as much as Mandriva, I mean it's fast for boot loading it responds well to every sort of task you might want to do, the artwork is very original and cute and I really I'm in love with this O.S. So good luck.

Have downloaded both the kde & the gnome live versions looks good.
might install the gnome one. just need to backup some stuff.
