Does anyone one know where I can get an rpm file for the latest version of GTK+2 that will install on my Mandrake 10 system?
Alternatively, I am open to other suggestions for getting this package installed without erasing gtk+1.x

Tonight was the last straw with the Mandrake package installer (rpmdrake), as usual I get error messages detailing many conflicts and it all failed. I have been through the whole urpmi deal. I have spent way too many hours trying to get rpmdrake to work, goodbye.

I will go for manually installing from the command line I think as it is easier.

I think you will struggle to find the packages you are looking for because Mandrake 10.0 is no longer supported by Mandriva if my memory serves me right. You already have gtk2 installed if you are using any of the Mandriva GUI config tools but its not the right version needed to run Adobe Reader. I suggest you upgrade to 2007 and save yourself the stress of trying to manage packages on an old distro.
