usage of grubby

Hi Guys,

I was trying to add a new kernel to lilo.conf using the command line:
grubby --add-kernel=/boot/vmlinuz --initrd=/boot/initrd.img --copy-default --make-default

but this does not even touch lilo.conf as it does for grub.conf.
Instead it generated /boot/grub/grub.conf.

Can anyone tell me how to add a new kernel to lilo.conf using grubby.

Regards,
Rajat Garg

NOTE: I am using grubby version 3.6.2

I have never used grubby, but from reading information on it at this site http://linux.about.com/library/cmd/blcmdl8_grubby.htm

I think that you need to include the --lilo option otherwise it defaults to a grub.conf file. I hope that helps.
