Using Slack 14.2 with the supplied GTK 3.18 and the Xfce desktop.

I noticed this before with something else, but I've reinstalled Slackware since then so can't remember what it was.

But I installed the Font Manager slackbuild, and then came across this (see pic), content in the left-hand pane of the window is cropped, without any way to view what's missing (at least horizontally--vertically seems to be okay). No amount of stretching will make it appear. Maximizing the window makes no difference either.

The right-hand pane is perfectly fine, scrollbars work normally.

Any ideas?

Slide the line between panels to the right works for me.
Maybe you have something installed that is messing with the Gnome related configurations.
I have Evince installed and it works ok too.
I'm using Xfce-4.6 theme but changing to Adwaita doesn't break.

That worked!

The trouble was, I was expecting the pointer to change shape as it moved over that separator line, but because it remained an arrow, I didn't realise I could do it.

And now you mention Evince, I think that's the other program I had this problem with previously.
