[SOLVED] kernel 3.10 and logitech Unifying receivers

as folks on -current may have noticed... the 3.10 kernel breaks logitech mice and keyboards that use the unifying receivers and usb 3.0.

and thankfully, there is a solution that is working... for now at least.

First get and build this code:

Code:

git clone https://git.lekensteyn.nl/ltunify.git
cd ltunify
make

then when you need to pair the device

Code:

su
./ltunify -d /dev/hidraw0 unpair 1
./ltunify -d /dev/hidraw0 pair 10

that should do it.

this worked for me. Had been trying to get it working for a while with my Logitech M325 and Slackware64 14.1
This fix took 2 secs. I use /dev/hidraw1 instead.
It also works fine with my cheao "onn" wired usb mouse no problem

I'm on kernel 3.17, and my Logitech T650 (which uses a unifying receiver) was plug-and-play.

After I used Windows to update the firmware, that is.

Yea guys, this is over a year old thread and the kernel was patched many moons ago... maybe try replying to a current issue on the stack?
