I didn't know about rasdaemon. But what about this?

Code:
There are currently 3 features that are enabled optionally, via
./configure parameters:

--enable-sqlite3 enable storing data at SQL lite database (currently
			  experimental)
--enable-aer enable PCIe AER events (currently experimental)
--enable-mce enable MCE events (currently experimental)
So you want to replace mcelog with an experimental feature of rasdaemon?

As webp has become a common image format, it should be included, IMHO. Just the other day I was sending, that is, trying to send an webp image in an e-mail and was puzzled as to why Thunderbird couldn't "see" it, so I tried a newer version of Thunderbird thinking, perhaps, it wasn't included in the older version I was using. No luck.
"What do you mean "we"? Do you have a mouse in your pocket?"
When I was living in France and a bunch of expats were sitting around playing cards, if someone said "Qui," that was the usual response.

We are Legion

note: the exact sentence should have been : c'est qui "nous" (who is "we")?

As you will see in the changelogs for quite a few years now,
our BDFL has issued his thanks to marav many times.

So, even if not 'officially',

IMO, marav can be considered an important member of the "Slackware Development Team".

Therefore, in marva's case.. "we" is appropriate.

That's kind, but
I use "we" more like "we, the users" ;-)
(sorry for my english if it was understood differently)

See more details here:

Regarding rc.local, I prefer it like it is. It is not hard to handle (Prompt, Merge, Left, Install).

What about rc.local_shutdown.

Regarding saving a copy, good idea, I do the same for some complex configuration files I have modified i.e., dhcpd.conf. Unless you have set "ORIG_BACKUPS" to off (default is on) in slackpkg.conf, "accidentally" overwritten configuration files are saved with the extension ".orig".

There are already a few exclusions built in to slackpkg (rc.inet1.conf.new, rc.wireless.conf.new, group.new, passwd.new, shadow.new, gshadow.new).

Uh oh.... today's upgrade of libsodium has broken some things

Code:
/usr/local/sbin/pure-ftpd: error while loading shared libraries: libsodium.so.23: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

httpd: Syntax error on line 541 of /etc/httpd/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 6 of /etc/httpd/mod_php.conf: Cannot load lib64/httpd/modules/libphp.so into server: libsodium.so.23: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
Temporary fix till the correct one comes down the wire...

Code:
ln -s /usr/lib64/libsodium.so.26.1.0 /usr/lib64/libsodium.so.23

No issue here
pure-ftpd is a 3rd party software, that probably needs to be recompiled

what is your php version ? (php-8.2.10-x86_64-2)

OK... nevermind... I had a Glitch in my Matrix

root@glennmcc-server:~# slackpkg search php

Looking for php in package list. Please wait... DONE

The list below shows all packages with name matching "php".

[uninstalled] - php-8.2.10-x86_64-2

You can search specific files using "slackpkg file-search file".

_______________

Getting it fixed right now.

Also already fixed pure-ftpd by rebuilding against the new libsodium

Strange.... very strange indeed.

That Glitch in my Matrix was not only PHP

Somehow all of these were also deleted from /var/log/packages

Code:
brotli-1.1.0-x86_64-1.txz
