How to configure network with solaris?

Thanks for the sys-unconfig command, it totally ruined my Solaris setup and now my monitor is getting a H/V out of sync range which use to be a nice Viewsonic. Sys-unconfig is not a good way to setup a network !

Sys-unconfig may be a little extreme to set-up a network, but is unrelated to video setting.

sys-unconfig has nothing to do with the video settings of the xserver. It's not a good way to re-configure your network, but it's a quick way specially if you don't know which files you need to edit. I guess you used it to change your network settings, you did something wrong and X failed to start since it needs to know hostname and other network settings, and you started messing with the xserver settings.
Anyway if you want to setup your xserver, press enter just before entering the graphical login, to login as root in CLI. Then run kdmconfig to configure X and be able to use CDE. Or you can use xorgconfig if you use the gnome desktop. Make sure you know the model and some specs of your vga card, monitor etc.
