Solaris 11 Downloaded Application

If you download an application how do you get it into

Solaris?

It's a printer driver from Lexmark for Oracle Unix.

Happy Holidays!

Hard to tell without more clues. There should be a readme file or something included.

I will take a look.

There is a lot of information about ports and packages but

I have not seen a thing about downloaded applications.

It did not show up in the application manager after downloading it.

Found this in release notes.

'Printer driver for Oracle Solaris 10 and 11 x86 systems. Once downloaded, uncompress the file using the uncompress utility and install

the package file with pkgadd'

There might be a problem. I don't see our X7350 under supported printers list.

I will skip it. Don't want to junk up system.
