I'm running a Linux Opensuse 13.1 machine with RP-PPPoE version 3.11-2.1.2 installed. The kernel being used is 3.11.10-7.
The router I am using is a Cisco Linksys x1000. The router is configured as Bridge Only and the VPI and VCI are correct. DSL Modulation is also correct for my ISP.

My pppoe connection resets itself precisely on 10 minute and 00 seconds. This has been happening for 2 weeks now.

When I configure the Cisco router as a PPPoE connection the internet stays stable and never resets.

Have any of you had a problem where RP-PPPoE seems to disconnect every 10 minutes and is there a solution to this?

Does this happen only when the link is idle? For example, with a constant ping on a server (eg ping 8.8.8.8), will the PPPoE connection stay alive?

There is a timeout parameter that can be specified/adjusted when using RP-PPPoE that may be coming in to play here.
