Synaptic Error. Nothing shows up in synaptic because of error!

Hi folks!
Can someone help me correct this error:
Quote:
E: The package frostwire needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report.
I downloaded FrostWire but when 'gdebi package installer' tryed to open and install it, I got THIS error:
Quote:
Could not open 'frostwire-4.13.17.i586.deb'
the package might be corrupted or you are not allowed to open the file. Check the permissions of the file.
So I downloaded it again and got the same error. I am the owner of the file. (I checked permissions). Now because of the Synaptic error, I can't view any packages.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
