SMP working?

Hello.

I'm new to Vector Linux but so far I'm loving it.

I've just compiled and installed my first custom kernel. I had to compile it since I wanted SMP support and the default kernel didn't have it enabled.

So 'xosview' shows that I have 2 CPU's but 'top' does not. I've upgraded to 'top' version 3.1.14 to no avail. The 'uname -a' command shows 'SMP'.

Can anyone tell me:
1) Do I really have SMP working?
2) How can I make/force 'top' to show both CPUs ?

I know this may seem like I'm being picky but I'd like to know that both of my CPUs are being utilized before I start to really work the system.

All help is appreciated.

If you do "cat /proc/cpuinfo" and it shows CPU's 0 and 1, then yeah, SMP is there...
2) How can I make/force 'top' to show both CPUs ?
Dunno, sorry.

Thanks for your help!
I guess this means that I've got SMP working.
Strange that top won't show 2 cpus.

cat /proc/cpuinfo output:
